“You ever think we’re gonna make it out?”

“Out…of where?”

“Out of this shithole…I think we could. Been saving up cash, you got your dads truck…we could leave and forget about this place.”

Daryl turns his head to look at you, the two of you laying on the roof of the abandoned gas station. You feel his eyes on you and turn to look at him, taking in his expression.

“What?” You fully turn your body to face him completely, wondering what that look is on his face. “You think we couldn’t?”

“You could…”

…What the hell is that supposed to mean? Why would he not want to come with you? Get away from that abusive father and druggie brother of his. It’s possible to just get up and leave…if you had all the essential parts of your plan.

1. You have the cash, enough to get you two somewhere and start a new life.

Theres only silence for a few moments, the only sounds are the chilly night air and you and Daryl’s breathing. You lay back down, front facing the stars again, trying to understand why he wouldn’t want to leave.

The feeling of slightly chapped lips going from your hand down to your arm is enough to startle you out of your thoughts. Turning to see the culprit, you bring your hand to his hair, brushing it away from his face. You look into each other’s eyes for what feels like a lifetime, you always get lost in them, confused on how such a pretty man can be cursed with such an ugly life.

“I love you…” He didn’t say those words often, not used to hearing them at all…You didn’t mind how much he said them, he showed it, and that’s all you needed.

Obanai is very protective of you, and even that's an understatement.

He knows you're strong, especially for a kid, after all, you're his Tsuguko.

Surprisingly, you didn't become his Tsuguko just because you're like a sibling to him, you became his Tsuguko because he could recognize your strength. (And you wouldn't stop pestering him)

You're very close to Kaburamaru, and he likes to be near you, just like with Iguro.

When you're not training with Iguro, you're more than likely taking missions here and there, or you're at home.

He didn't really like the idea of you meeting the other Hashira, besides Mitsuri, mostly because he doesn't exactly care for any of them.

He holds very high expectations for you, but at the same time, his expectations are also very low.

Giyuu Tomioka ;; The Water Hashira

Tomioka wouldn't exactly bother getting to know you, or bother talking to you, unless you initially started a conversation.

At first, it would seem like he was ignoring you, but if you kept pestering, he'd slowly open up, day by day, and start talking to you.

If you didn't happen to start a conversation upon meeting him, he may give you a wave upon seeing you, but besides that, you won't get much else.

He's very awkward around other people, especially children.

Even if you don't exactly talk, or if you aren't exactly friends, he'll get you a snake keychain for your birthday every year.

He may not know much about you, but he knows how much you hang around Obanai, so he assumed you liked snakes.

Mitsuri Kanroji ;; The Love Hashira

Mitsuri absolutely loves you.

She loves taking you out to lunches, when she's able to.

No matter the length of your hair, she absolutely loves to put your hair up, or do your hair.

She has a tendency to buy you things from random markets. If she happens to be there, and see something you may like, she's buying it and giving it to you the next time she sees you, with the widest smile on her face.

Sleepovers with Mitsuri are a must. She manages to convince Obanai to let you stay with her for a night or two while you just have a girls night.

Muichiro Tokito ;; The Mist Hashira

This mostly depends on when you meet Muichiro.

If you meet him before he regains his memory, he constantly forgets who you are, just like with everyone else.

He doesn't much care for you, and if you strike up a conversation with him, he's not very into the conversation.

If you meet him after he regains his memory, that also depends on who you are to Tanjiro.

If you're close to Tanjiro, he'll start up conversation with you occasionally, and you'll basically be acquaintances, or friends, if you happen to be lucky.

If you're not, he talks to you occasionally around the base, but doesn't actively try to start up conversation with you.

Tengen Uzui ;; The Sound Hashira

Tengen believes you're Obanai's little sister, even if you tell him otherwise.

Maybe a year and a half after you meet him, he'll slowly start to accept that you're not.

But even then, he still calls you "Obanai's Flashy Little Sis"

Suma frantically worries about you, due to the fact that you're a child, and taking on important missions.

Makio acts like she couldn't care less, but is still kind of worried for the same reason Suma is. You're just a kid, and a Tsuguko at that.

Hinatsuru, just like the other two, tends to worry, for all the same reasons, but she's very sweet about them.

After Tengen's retirement, if you're about to head out on a mission, they'll stop by and give you a few snacks for the road.

They kind of act like protective family members.

Like your uncle and three aunts, in a sense.

Gyomei Himejima ;; The Stone Hashira

Gyomei treats you like one of the children he used to care for.

He, like Obanai, is rather protective, but he's quite lenient about it.

He even gifts you one of his spare beads, hoping they'll protect you on your journeys, given how young you are.

He's almost like a father figure.

Sanemi Shinazugawa ;; The Wind Hashira

Sanemi doesn't much care for you at first.

That's an understatement, he doesn't say a single word to you and simply walks away.

In an odd way, you remind him of Genya. He's also just.. not good with children so he has no clue what to say, or how to act.

If you, some how, some way, get him to talk to you, he's very stiff and very rude at first.

He wouldn't be able to get rid of the thought of Genya while talking to you, so that's how he reacts, as if he's talking to Genya.

Over time, he loosens up and begins to talk to you more often.

Kyōjurō Rengoku ;; The Flame Hashira

Your first meeting with Kyōjurō is very, very loud.

You might think you're deaf for a few hours afterwards.

He will bring you food entirely unwarranted, you have zero (0) choice in the matter.

He'll also ask if you'd like to eat with him, which you do have a choice in the matter there.

He's a rather silent eater, besides the occasional "Umai!" after every bite.

If you'd like to have a conversation with him, he can talk about anything and everything, and is always willing to.

You tend to remind him of Senjuro from time to time, and when it happens, the widest smile appears on his face.

Shinobu Kochō ;; The Insect Hashira

Shinobu is very sweet towards you, especially when you first meet her.

You remind her of Kanao, in a sense.

If you manage to grow close to her, in some way, she may let her guard down here and there.

She'll never fully let down her guard around you, because she knows you're a kid, and you don't need to know the truths of her life.

She makes it known, very often, that if you ever get injured, she's willing to patch you up, good as new.

No matter how bad the wound is.

I feel like you will most likely adopt a child who was turned into a vampire during a mission, immediately taking the role of a caretaker and forcing Alucard to do the same

The first couple of days or months he wouldn't really accept the role of the father figure

It would take a lot of convincing from your side for him to even stop trying to get you to stop parenting the child

He sees himself as someone who failed as a human, who willingly became a monster and he is very aware of his nature, Alucard can't comprehend how you can even think about him in such a positive way

But he will eventually comply in his own twisted way, maybe after your child has proven that while they can be a creature of the night, they still have some sort of humanity in them

maybe the child drank blood from an animal but is still compassionate to other people

Alucard loves and hates the child's innocence at the same time

He sometimes teaches your child how to control their vampiric powers, but it will mainly remain your responsibility (he's afraid the child will take too much after him)

He will definitely tease you a lot about your parental tendencies like "Where are you going? You know, you can barely handle one"

Despite this, his love and respect for you increased even more than before, again because he seems to value determination, will and courage

Alucard will definitely bring the child on a mission, maybe on one who isn't so bloody as usual. If you aren't on board with this he will do it in secret, unless you talk to Integra

Integra will command him to stop until the child has grown

The vampire does have his dad moments, trust me

He melts every time he sees you and his kid having a moment

If somebody other than a few range of specific people dares to comment about you two in a bad way, that person will either be traumatized for life to straight up killed

Alucard will play a lot with your child, he isn't far from teaching him how to transform and many more

Those two will prank soldiers in the most unhinged way

The child will love horror and adventure movies with extreme violence in the future, trust me

But, given how Alucard is one of their main caretakers, they will also become violent and mess with people on purpose (Alucard will either be entertained or curse himself because of this)

If something happens to the child, BLOOD WILL BE SHATTERED

He will have no mercy on whoever even looks at his kid in a weird way

(in Ultimate) Seras and Pip would be more than happy to help with babysitting, and the overall process of taking care of the child, more Seras actually, but Pip finds a good opportunity to get closer to the vampire

In the end, both of them will become extremely attached to your kid

Integra will remain distant, but it is clear she also cares a lot about the child, often forgetting they are a vampire

Walter will provide with the necessities but won't be extremely involved. But he will babysit from time to time, and even train them in small ways

(in 2001) Seras will help like her ultimate counterpart, but I feel like she will take them out more, even showing them her old home

Here, Integra will be a lot more distant, letting comments slip more often regarding the situation, but still cares immensely about them, even if she doesn't show it

I don't know why, but I feel that this version of Walter is more fatherly, so I think he will be more involved in the child's life, maybe even letting them accompany him in the mansion when he doesn't have an important task

Peter Fargason will sometimes entertain the child in small ways, only if the others aren't looking, but will mostly keep his distance

I’ve thought about this a lot actually, cause I’ve also had trouble deciding that lmao. I originally intended for stalker!ani to have BPD, but as he developed as a character I think antisocial personality disorder fits him much, much better. Both disorders experience hypersexuality.

In this essay I will…

Stalker!Anakin has never had a girlfriend before reader. Unfortunately he was painfully awkward and strange during his elementary school years:

Exhibit A: tying nettles together with worms (a beautiful bouquet if you ask me) and giving them to a girl he thought was pretty.

Exhibit B: staring and unapologetically eavesdropping on any conversation.

Exhibit C: starting conversations with “I am Anakin Skywalker, I am seven years old and I like to collect Hot Wheels. Do you like to collect Hot Wheels?” (Bc his therapist said he should try to be ‘relatable’ by finding people with similar interests. How is he expected to do that unless he systematically goes through his entire class list and initiates/interviews his classmates??)

Moving onto his middle school years were even worse bc he found out that girls are hot and hot girls make him horny. Everyone remembered him as the weird kid, told the other sixth graders and ruined his chances of winning people over with his new, carefully crafted personality/mask.

So when he asked his crush to the homecoming dance he bought real flowers (sans worms!!), and his mom helped him find a cute sign on Pinterest to copy… She refused the flowers and said “ew”, thinking there were prob bugs in it (she’d heard the gossip). Anakin unwrapped the flowers and shook them out to prove they were indeed wormless, made a joke and then the girl reconsidered her refusal and decided ‘hey maybe he’s not so bad, all kids are weird anyway so he’s probably fine now’.

Turns out he was in fact trying to be fine & normal. But ended up in a ‘Carrie at prom’ situation at the homecoming dance bc the guy who also liked Anakin’s date was there. Anakin ended up with a suspension and the other guy ended up with the girl.

Then the summer of 7th grade he wacked a grown man with a table.

That didn’t bode well for his highschool conquests of course! So he got his rocks off with the occasional use of the good ol’ ‘hide in the bushes with binoculars and hope Becky from Algebra changes in front of her window again’

Anakin got his first job at the Hot Topic when he was 17. This is where he tried out everything he’d learned over the years and he realized he was actually very decent at speaking to girls as long as he kept up his masked personality. Anakin stayed a virgin until a pretty girl with a nose ring (she worked at Claire’s, he was getting his ear pierced) complimented his Suicidal Tendencies t-shirt and he smooth talked his way into getting her in his car after his shift. Then… continued to do that for a while, strictly fucking. She thought it was strange that he never really wanted to talk before or after.

He was just trying to perfect his sex game and she was just a body. She wasn’t his dream gal, so she was perfect for making mistakes and learning from them. He didn’t have to worry about appearances or properly apologizing for accidentally not doing super great at something, he could just move on and keep going. After all, she was just a body to practice on.

Unfortunately for Anakin he had a brand new court appointed therapist at the time who didn’t think promiscuity was good for the healing and reconditioning process (it wasn’t).

So Anakin put a stop to fuckin’ the girl from Claire’s. He was very confused that she was so upset when he just completely ignored her. The next time they both worked, she waited at his truck like usual and he walked right past her and got in his truck, locked the door and backed out of the parking spot without waiting for her to move (she was fine just really mad).

Claire’s girl confronted him about it, thinking she’d done something to upset him and asked if that was his way of breaking up with her. Anakin’s like??? Break up?? We were never dating!!?? (This is how he found out that when you fuck someone weekly for over four months they will more than likely form an emotional attachment)

To avoid a repeat of that incident when he moved to the city for college (he dropped out obvi), he got a job as a bartender for the sole purpose of people watching for research and practicing being a normal dude. Being a normal dude includes learning how to pick up chicks, so I think he probably took a girl home once or twice a month just to keep sharp on his pretending and fucking skills so he’d be on his best game when he found the right girl.

So in conclusion, yes he did have a ‘fuck everything that walks’ phase. Just not for the sex. For research.

I don’t believe he was a sociopath. But I do believe he exhibited some shared tendencies to them.

When Cal was younger, he didn’t enjoy people very much.

The previously chubby-cheeked, little white blond boy began to display this distant look in his eyes as he slowly aged, which had started to show when he was around 2 to 3-years-old.

His reserved behavior was more prevalent when he was a kid. His parents remained unquestioning, though. Treating their son like any other normal boy. But could you really blame them?

Because not even Cal’s family members could read what was going on in his mind.

Birthday parties weren’t very fun either. Calvin felt overwhelmed by everyone standing around him, trying to get him to smile while singing him happy birthday, shoving presents toward his sour face. Fuck, the people his parents invited and who attended were so insufferable and nauseatingly energetic. He didn’t even want to do anything for his 18th birthday a few months before Zero Day. He just wanted to spend time with Andre— the bastard who mostly sees him for who he is. Around his teenage years, that was when the lingering anger began to sprout deep within him. And when he and Andre met, they clicked partially for this reason.

Calvin does get crushed by the invisible weight of his depression and experiences negative and positive feelings as well, though they’re less prominent and not necessarily how most people would typically assume. He experiences these feelings toward himself and toward Andre and his friends. And most of the time he doesn’t feel much toward other classmates— not unless it relates to his burrowed sadism, aggravation, disinterest, and contempt.

He likes Rachel, even though he grows defensive when she tries to nudge her nose into him and Andre’s business. Cal always plays it off as a joke, but there’s a subtle sense of sobriety in his eyes… especially when he essentially told her to “leave town”.

He isn’t friends with very many people except for a few— those few including Andre. He’s known for being in the school band, and from being Rachel’s friend, but that’s really it.

With Andre, he does feel a sense of fondness and longing when he’s out of his grasp. He treats the brunet teenager unlike how most people would treat their companion. He sees him as this figure he needs to latch onto, who latches onto Cal in contrasting yet related ways— Calvin feels alive when he’s around him, less like a walking zombie. Calvin gets restless and the closest thing to sad when he’s not around. Lonely, even. He needs his attention. They share a bond that nobody should be able to have but them… the Army of Two.

Cal expresses this amorous sentiment toward his comrade in relatively traditional manners, having learned from seeing other couples at school… mainly with physical touch. He really isn’t opposed to physical touch when with Andre at all. Though, Cal’s indifference when he and Andre argue is as apparent as finding a glowing scarecrow in a corn field. And while he does react in blatantly flippant manners toward the various serious problems Andre has with him in that moment, he doesn’t truly want Andre to stay angry at him. So he tries to deescalate the situation without outwardly confronting the problem. Think of the scene where Andre got angry at Cal over the poem he read aloud, and how Cal made him smile a minute later.

In addition, Cal is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The sheep wool sitting over his head like some veil of purity is the awkward, yet casual facade he wears to get people to think differently of him. To think he’s nice, to think he isn’t capable of committing such a horrific thing such as Zero Day. Even now, even before Zero Day; he’s still got his parents and peers fooled— excluding Andre.

That wolf is what Andre sees when Cal’s pissed off and bothered, and what everyone saw on Zero Day, during Cal and Andre’s final moments after they murdered a dozen students. Cal realized how he was destined to fade out with the boy who understood him; the boy he made an effort to understand, too.

Thinking about it more I think Bruce would definetly deem Danny/Ghoul too big of a risk. He would also probably want Danny to pay for all the lives he had taken since Bruce's strict moral code usually isn't too lenient to those whom take the lives of others.

So I imagine Bruce has Danny put into Arkham to serve his time and hopefully get psychological help in the process so he can hopefully eventually live a normal life after what Joker had made him do. This hinges on Bruce still assuming Danny's cannibalistic tendencies are something the Joker had forced him into psychologically.

He definitely doesn't realize it's a physical issues with his ghost side and not just some well ingrained psychological manipulation. Nobody does really. Danny's the only one truly aware it's a biological problem.

Damian is absolutely pissed his father would abandon his brother like that. Sure it had been a few years since they've really talked or been around eachother but he knows his brother. He would not do such things unless forced. Danyal was always soft that's what initially got him killed in the end.

He was warm and kind and always covered for Damian. He had never been suited to be a killer his guilt was far too great. He had even let Damian take his life the day grandfather had ordered them to fight to the death. Danyal just wasn't that kind of guy and he certainly wasn't strong enough to survive whatever arkham would throw at him fully intact.

Damian understood his father's views and worries but he knew Danyal far better than anyone else in this city, and he knew his brother didn't deserve such abandonment. Not from father or anyone else.

This causes frequent fights between Bruce and Damian aswell as Damian distancing himself a bit from Bruce. Damian is determined to help Danyal with or without the others assistance. So he frequently visits Danyal in arkham trying to uncover the root cause of these cannibalistic developments and help Danyal work pass them. Though he may not be the most qualified for the role he certainly isn't giving up on him as father has.

Yes Danny is in arkham he's convinced himself it's the safest option for everyone. They aren't equipped for his ghost powers tho and he can absolutely easily escape. However he decides to let them try to help him knowing he can't get past this alone.

Arkham is cruel however. They keep a shock collar on him to taze him if he seems to become aggressive. They ignore his pleas that the issue isn't psychological and that he genuinely can't eat regular food. They refuse to give him any human meat. They starve him in the hopes it'll force him to work past whatever mental barrier is not allowing him to eat presenting him with regular food at every meal time.

Danny tries. He tries so hard to just eat it and force himself to be normal. Damian begins to take notice of this. Of how sick it makes him. Of how starved his brother is. Why will nobody listen to him it's clear his pleas are based upon experience. He however cannot successfully convince anyone before there's an incident.

Danny kills and eats a guard. They're all helpless to stop him due to his unknown ghostly abilities. The man cut himself tinkering with something and the world went blank as soon and Danny could smell the blood.

Afterwards seeing the incident Danny panics. He convinces himself he is too much of a danger to even be in arkham. He convinces himself he cannot be helped, and he runs. The farther he goes the less of a risk he is to anyone. He just needs to go somewhere nobody else is.

Damian hears of the incident and hears of the breakout. The bats are on high alert they need to track this kid down before he hurts anyone else. Damian needs to track him down before the bats so he can find some way to help Danyal how to figure out how to reverse whatever had been physically done to him to make him this way. If not him than nobody else will.

So Damian fights against the bats and time to try and locate his brother to help him before anyone else can get hurt.

Wether they actually succeed is again up to the writer if anyone picks this up :3c

Eddie ran when Shannon got pregnant and he ran to the army, when things got to hard in Texas he ran to LA. Like with Marisol and Ana as soon as they were getting real Eddie ran as fast as he could. He ran away from the 118 because of Christopher's fear and now is running away from LA to go to Christopher instead of talking AGAIN.

Whereas, Buck has a tendency to cling, he held on way to tight to Abby even though everyone told him to move on. Then with Taylor, he had been through so much trauma, had been assaulted and Chim, his niece, his sister all left him as well as his best friend, so he clung to Taylor even though you could already see it wasn't working even before Lucy. Then as soon as issues started surfacing with Tommy he overcompensated and clung on too hard.

The problem with Eddie is he never communicates to anyone in his ife, not with his partner, his best friend, his son, not unless he is forced to and will run as soon as he sees the chance to because he thinks that will fix everything, that it will make it better. Eddie thinks that by doing these dramatic life changing things that they will somehow solve all his issues instead of actually putting in the work and communicating with his loved ones. So no one can really trust Eddie because he will make unilateral decisions without ever consulting anyone in his life and everyone is left out in the dark.

On the other hand Buck is holding on too tight, I think in part because he doesn't think he will get any better, likes the comfortability and the idea of being in a relationship even when it's not good for him and should let go. Buck genuinely likes his partners and while he is willing to put in the work, he clings on way to tight because of his fear of abandonment and fear of ending up alone. Buck needs to do some reflection on what he wants in a partner because while he does genuinely likes his partners. He really should be figuring out what he wants his life to look like, what he wants in a partner and what he wants his future to look like.

If Buck and Eddie do get together they need to work on their relationship issues. Eddie needs to stop making unilateral decisions that affect other people and actually communicate with them otherwise they will never truly trust him to stick around. Buck has seen this pattern with Eddie numerous times before with Shannon and Chris but also with Buck himself. Eddie continuously has made major life decisions and only told people that it will affect waaaaaay too late. He told Shannon he was doing another tour after he already re-enlisted, he told everyone including Buck that he was leaving the 118 after he already quit, Chris had no say over Eddie quitting at all, Eddie told Buck a year after that he put him in his will and only accidentally Buck finds out that Eddie is thinking of moving back to Texas. If they get together Buck already has abandonment issues and while Eddie typically has a good reason he never actually talks to anyone before making the decision to leave. Buck is going to always be terrified that Eddie is hiding something else or is going to leave or has made some other life changing decision without telling anyone first. How is Buck supposed to trust that Eddie won't just bolt as soon as shit gets hard?! How is Buck supposed to trust that Eddie hasn't got one foot out the door?!

But with Buck, he needs to figure out what the fuck he actually wants. Like Taylor and Tommy more than likely don't ever want kids, like Abby probably wouldn't have had biological children too, would Buck have just stuck around anyway?! Taylor, Natalia, Tommy and Abby while they had similarities were all very different. What is Buck looking for in his partners?! Does he ever actually talk about what he wants in the future?! How is Eddie supposed to trust that Buck wants to be with him if he thinks Buck is just too scared of being abandoned again and Eddie leaving him?! Therefore, Eddie may always have it in the back of his head that Buck is with him because of the wrong reasons. How is Eddie supposed to trust that Buck isn't just going with the flow and actually wants everything with him?!

Buck and Eddie desperately need to communicate with eachother. Buck needs to stop overcompensating with his partners and moving too quickly because of his fear of being abandoned. And Eddie for once needs to stop God Damn running and actually talk to his partners and his son. They also need to desperately go to therapy for a hundred years as well. Eddie shouldn't be wondering if he is just another unhealthy relationship Buck is clinging too and Buck shouldn't be constantly wondering when Eddie is going to leave him. That's why I would fucking love for Buck and Eddie to get couples therapy as soon as or even before they get together.

Like father like son/daughter. Absolute unwavering sense of right and wrong, maybe sometimes not too understanding of the shades of grey. A confident kid and heartbreaker - not purposely tho but their rizz will be off the charts like their dad. Of course a natural born leader. That runs in the family too.

Warren Chae

Oof. If you thought he was protective over Sally then you have another thing coming. Needs a bit of talking around to give them their freedom and experiences. Apart from that you really can't complain. Warren has an infinite amount of patience. Also reads to them all the time to stop himself missing out words.

The kid

The cutest kind-hearted little soul! Would just be so nice and sweet! Super well adjusted and surrounded by loving adults (Hostel), and also Grandpa Manager Kim. Yknow the kids who are also constantly dirty? Like constant speck of dirt on their face? Yeah also that.

Samuel Seo

It might be better if you're a single parent because he is gonna pass on some gnarly generational trauma. Your child will either end up like a mini-Samuel or fingers crossed there will be shitloads of therapy (for daddy and child).

Strives for perfection, and super ambitious. There's no avoiding some traits. Another natural leader, but rules less with an iron first than Sammy. Would be vain af, and looks after their appearance a LOT. A bit shallow and judgemental but will eventually grow out of it.

Shrewd af and always knows what's going on. Good luck to their kid because there is no lying to Goo. He'll play along and then drop the hammer. However, a bit too lenient so you would have to be the disciplinarian. Lets the kid just get on with things and learn by experience. "Oh you wanna play with the sword? Have fun!" "GOO NO-!"

Little shit. Sorry there's just no way they wouldn't be a mouthy little asshole. Goo would make sure they respect the parents, but otherwise they are a danger to society. A troublemaker. Figures out all the loopholes to any rules and laws... A constant headache but you can't help but be impressed.

Gun Park

Does a lot of research before their kid is born. This guy is pretty thorough with things he is interested in, so if he's taking an active part in the kid's life then he will be meticiulous. Initially. Then, like Goo, will let their kid make their own mistakes. Otherwise, very hands on, doesn't believe in outdated parental roles. After all, this is Gun's ultimate masterpiece.

The kid

Christ. This kid could be the most intimidating child to have ever lived. Not as intense as their dad, but they are playing 5D chess while everyone else is just learning their shapes and numbers. They're cocky and confident, with the skills to back it up.

Ryuhei Kuroda

As a dad

Extremely similar to Goo imo. Would also love to embarrass the kid. Not purposely mind, just he can't keep his hands off or kissing you and no kid needs to see their parents so grossly in love.

The kid

An absolute menace, just like their dad. Huge prankster, mostly harmless. Don't get them together with Goo's kid because jfc they would be absolute terrors together. Unlike their dad in his youth, they would respect the shit out of women. You've seen to that.

Eugene

As a dad

Probably a little cold and severe, putting a bit too much emphasis on grades and perfection. Despite that, would actually be pretty good. Someone that reads up a lot on how to raise a kid, bonding with them etc etc. to form a somewhat healthy relationship.

The kid

Private school little wunderkind. Will grow up with the absolute best of everything and spoilt too so you would need to keep them grounded. Expected to take over Workers. Business acument and ambition will be drilled into them from an early age.

Vasco

As a dad

What is there to say about Tabasco that we don't already know. Would dote on them hand and foot. An absolute pushover! Their kid pulls out the puppy eyes and it's game over. Would teach them to protect themselves but probably draw the line at anything more.

The kid

Really creative? Vasco would place less emphasis on grades and would help to nurture their interest in the arts. But actually super smart too thanks to Uncle Jace's influence. Tbh I think the kid would be pretty perfect and with the kindest heart and stands up to bullies just like dad!

Zack Lee

As a dad

So so similar to Vasco. Has all these ideas on what they should and shouldn't do as a parent. Kid pops out, and Zack's a goner. Literally would do anything and everything for their child. Go absolutely crazy with pride if the kid is interested in boxing.

The kid

Would have no game... Like dad. Sorry. Good job they would be good looking af to even it out. Not a huge emphasis on education and grades thanks to Zack's influence. More focused on athletics. A little shallow and arrogant, but a huge softy underneath.

Johan Seong

Panic and anxiety from the day their kid was born and every day after. First because of worrying about their eyes, second because he's just not comfortable with having an actual dependent. Tries to teach them about the evils of the world. Eventually chills out overall and reverts back to being the gentle-hearted boy he used to be.

For practical reasons, taught braille from an early age just in case. But otherwise a mini-Johan but without the trauma. Very softly spoken and sweet. Just an absolute ray of sunshine. Always accompanied by their dog, their bff and partner when a fight arises.

He's so sweet, how can you say no to that face? You never really get to see his yandere tendencies, and he plans to keep it that way as long as possible. The only time he has ever appreciated his snake power was when he can punish people who were mean to you. He genuinely loves you and wants you to be happy, and he's happy watching you flourish. Vengeance and violence are his only yandere tendencies but never directed to you. No matter what he would never hurt you. He would be heartbroken if you fell for someone else. Torn apart between his love for you and his need to have you happy.

Edmond

He fights with his feelings for you constantly. He knows what he's feeling is wrong but he can't stop. It's your fault he can't get you out of his head. He will have some of his men keep an eye on you when he has to take care of duties for the king or Eiden. His guards are never allowed to interact with you though. If he finds out one of them touched you! No one will be able to find the body. He takes your safety more seriously than he takes the kings. He hates these overwhelming feelings. He will sometimes bake you sweets and leave it on your doorstep. He doesn't get close to you. He desperately wants to, but he's so scared to mess it up. He feels unworthy of your attention. Unless something happens to you and he has to intervene you probably won't see him. You'll just have a secret admirer.

Olivine

Unknowingly manipulative. He wants to be a beacon of light in this scary world for you. It's not his fault that his fans are crazy, but if they ever say anything to you he's always there with open arms ready to comfort you. He scolds his followers who get jealous of you. He understands their jealousy though, he feels the same when he sees you with others. Although he doesn't act on his jealousy. He would write stories about you to read to the kids who come to the temple. He would also write some private stories for himself as well. He feels guilty about these stories and will get you little gifts the next day…you have lots of little gifts from him.

Quincy

For a man so big he is deadly quiet when he wants to be. If you're from the tribe he checks in on you every once in a while but doesn't do much else. If you're from the city though… Just a clumsy little thing that wandered too far into his territory. There's no way you'd survive without him, you're far too weak. So he's got to protect you right? He's always had protective instincts but has never felt the need to act like this before. Topper is worried about him but there's nothing to be worried about, he's just watching over you. If you get too lost and stumble into his cabin he thinks it's perfect. He can put in the effort this once to take care of this little stray.

Kuya

This is a big game to him but it's a game he's going to win. You started off as a play thing he became obsessed with. Just a lost little rabbit that fell into the foxes den. He doesn't even need to touch you to punish you. Illusions of your loved ones dying or feeling your bones break. You feel everything and its so real that you can't think straight when you come out of the illusion. Half the time he lets you cry in his arms after the punishment asking softly if you learned your lesson. You nod your head as you cry but you know you'll be punished again. He will use any excuse to punish you just to see more of your delicious reactions. You're too scared to try and run, you really are a rabbit in his maw.

Blade

He wants to know everything about you. Isolating, he gets extremely jealous when others are near you. Unironically calls you darling. Eliminator who will kill anyone who he thinks gets close to you. The only exception is the clan members because he can't make Eiden sad, but he will hurt them as a warning if he feels the need to. He does not feel like what he's doing is wrong, he just knows he feels so strongly. The only other person allowed to get close to you is Eiden because it's “double cuteness”. Totally delusional as well. He thinks you love him just as much as he loves you and there's no way to get him to see reality.

Garu

Puppy. He just wants to be by your side. His feelings and affection for you are genuine. Unfortunately his fear of abandonment is what could trigger some of his more obsessive tendencies. Escape is not an option either if you try to avoid him or run away well you're not going to get very far when he can just sniff you out. Him and Karu have been alone for so long and will be heartbroken if you were to leave. He's incredibly protective of you and is always on the lookout if anybody would want to try to hurt or take advantage of you. Just don't leave him and he'll do pretty much anything you want.

Karu

Now unlike Karu who is content just being near you, Garu needs to have you. He is much more possessive and just as protective. While Karu will beat up people who say things behind your back, Garu will tear them apart if someone so much as looks at you wrong. After he will grab your arm with his bloody hand and drag you away. You are his and will make sure you know your place.

Dante

He wants to keep you close. He would give you an easy job in the palace like feeding the animals or cleaning the arena. Not something too dangerous, but close enough to danger that it impresses you whenever you see him beast taming or training soldiers. He wants you to think he's strong, smart, and perfect. Even if he knows he's not perfect he wants you to look up to him, maybe even worship him. He's pretty tame as long as you don't try to leave Solaria or get a boyfriend/girlfriend. If you do he won't take it out on you though. He will simply get rid of whoever dares get close to you. He is all you will ever need anyway, it's not like anyone else can provide more than him.

Rei

Oh yeah he'll just kidnap you. He thinks and plans so fast so it's only a few days between meeting you and taking you. However the whole thing was miraculously planned out. It only took him a few days to learn everything about you, you really should have better home security. Well that doesn't really matter because you're coming to his cabin anyway. You can't even fight him, not in a way that matters. He's too smart to trick and won't lower his guard. If he thinks for a moment you are planning something he has plenty of drugs to keep you complacent.

Eiden

He already has a giant harem, so why not join it? He can flirt his way into most guys' pants so he will definitely use that experience on you. He figures if he can seduce you he can win your heart after. First he just needs to show what he's good at. He may also convince some of the other clan members to help win you over. Blade Garu Yakumo and Olivine are more than happy to have a new friend around. If they are yandere too then you don't stand a chance. You want to get away? Nope, now you have a clan member escorting you back to Eiden. Its not that bad, Eiden doesn't punish or anything like that. Still your basically stuck in a gilded cage.

Aster

Unfortunately you have no choice but to do what he says. He has so much blackmail on you. Most of it is small things that don't matter, but a collection of every mistake you've made you can't ignore. He has blackmail on your family too, enough to get them executed. You don't want your friends or family caught in this, right? As long as you continue to dote on him he won't say a word. He doesn't want gifts or anything from you. Just your presence, attention, and maybe some blood…

Morvay

Does it count as a stalker if you know he's there? Like always there. He visits you any chance he gets, and he has so much free time. He'll annoy Aster for spending money to buy you gifts. Not wholesome gifts like some of the others, no he'd rather get you lingerie or a toy and once even got you a small bottle of aphrodisiac. He won't act without consent but he is constantly wearing you down. You can't get a moment of peace. He will insert himself into your life until you think of him as much as he thinks of you. At the end of the day he just wants you to use him.

Maybe it's my own multi-deity pagan ass just wanting to consider what it would look like. (I'm using primarily Forgotten Realms Gods and my absolutely vague knowledge of them).

Gorgug is absolutely Garl Glittergold's favorite child. He loves the shenanigans. Do you think he starts connecting with Gruumsh when he starts connecting with his birth parents? Baby Gorgug leaving bits of metal and toys he accidentally broke on the altar the Thistlesprings' have in their workshop. Gorgug pre-artificer offering up the songs he makes as a tricky sort of "metal" working. Feeling a connection to Gruumsh in the heats of his rage, the nudge of a hand during his frenzy guiding him to the right target. Keeping bits of scrap from their enemies to melt down into his next artificing project. He also probably talks to Helm, sometimes, asking for guidance on how to best protect his friends. Gorgug has big protector energy.

Adaine who is, in a way, a deity in her own right, depending how revered the Oracle is. I don't know if Adaine would connect with Elvish gods, but she and Oghma vibe. I think that after the Bad Kids all talk and bond, Kristen makes a joke about her being a Gruumsh follower with her furious fist and so Adaine jokingly buys a pin to wear in offering. Jawbone also had a talk with her about sometimes it can help to talk to someone about your anxiety--whether that be a counselor or even the Gods, sometimes. Just Adaine praying to Gruumsh to have the strength to punch her anxiety in the face is very beautiful to me. Azuth is the god of wizards, so he and Adaine might vibe. Adaine feels like the type to vibe with the Gods mostly in jest; she talks to them sometimes, but they're silly little guys to her. Because of Tracker and Jawbone's lycanthropy, I think she either has a small shrine to Galicaea or has the biggest beef with her imaginable. Maybe a little bit of both.

Riz. God. I think once Riz meets his Father, he definitely like, sets up a little shrine to him. Ancestor work feels really important to Riz. He dedicates a lot of self-care things to his dad, I think. Mainly sleeping and drinking water. Does he do them? No. But it's the thought that counts. Riz is definitely the like, mundane acts of worship. Incorporating it into miniscule parts of his day that would go undetected unless you knew him and where to look. He also probably has some devotional jewelry to Yondalla; I think that Penny probably had a habit of repeating prayers while touching the beads of her bracelet (kind of like a Rosary) and that rubbed off on him, especially when she was babysitting him. The whole family also probably have at least some sort of worship to Tyr due to their connection to justice and law enforcement. I think Sklonda is more connected with some of the deities associated with Goblins, specifically Gruumsh (can you tell I love him?) and Maglubiyet. He prays to war gods to get through the absolute shitshow of Adventuring school. He and Adaine probably dedicate their research to Oghma.

Fig is really interesting because I feel like she is probably in the vein of demon work instead of divinity. Although I think that she unironically thinks Riz's dad is super cool so like, playfully worships him. Fig is the Bad Kid that I feel like collects all the different pieces of her friends and wears them proudly upon herself. She dedicates concerts to Kristen's new deity of the week. She sighs and asks Oghma for help on exams; she includes prayers to Gruumsh in her tracks. I feel like Fig also might have a tendency to like, worship the people in her life. She thinks they're so important and she cares about them so much. So she elevates them to the status of a God in her mind. They are invincible. They are young and powerful and the bonds they share are much, much magical then some God who pretends to be high and mighty. Her body is an altar--she wears jewelry and draws sigils and uses so much color magick. She is, in a way, a walking beacon to the gods, saying, "Look at us! We're just as good as you, and if you doubt it, then we'll kick your ass!"

Fabian Seacaster my beloved. This man follows his Father's footsteps for a long time. He worships Gods of the tempest, of the sea and sailing. Yondalla holds a special place in his heart. Riz nearly has a conniption when Fabian corrects him on a prayer to Yondalla, and the two of them bond about it. But once this man starts dancing, this man worships Corellon Larethian with his whole chest. He does a lot of his worship through dancing. Moving his body, getting in touch with his roots. Because of the fire elemental, he also does some like, elemental magic? But I think a lot of his forms of worship come through bodily experiences. Braving a storm, dancing in front of a crowd, making just the right maneuver to protect his friends in battle. Sometimes he and Fig and Gorgug will sit together and make devotional playlists!

Beware of Mr. Midoriya

(pro hero Deku + child gender neutral child reader. CW mention of abuse, bullying, & description of bodily harm) In both his pro-hero life and regular life, Izuku is always presented as a sweet and caring man. He always made sure to never make those around him uncomfortable or feel nervous in any way. He was compassionate and sweet and so warm-hearted, many told the public that ‘besides when he’s fighting, pro hero Deku’s practically harmless, he’s just a big sweetheart!’ Even to his child he was great about staying calm in stressful situations and seemed to not have a mean bone in his body.

There was a side to him to that he always shoved down and only his colleagues knew about it. More like layers, there were 3 layers to him and they all had a different name. His old classmates were the ones to name them actually!

There was Deku, the sweet almost puppy dog-like man who’d do anything to see those around him smile. Deku would put his life on the line, he’d put aside his own needs before others in an almost people-pleasing manner. This was the side that knew how to make just about anyone laugh, the side that would hoist little kids into the air and catch them as they fell into fits of giggles.

Then there was Izuku, Izuku was a little more serious. This was the side of him that knew how to get people’s attention. The side that handled more serious villains and confrontation. Izuku could easily switch to Deku at the snap of his fingers. Izuku made plans, handled arguments, and domestic cases, and held most of the tame emotions.

Then….there was Midoriya….or well for some Mr Midoriya. Midoriya was a darker layer, a colder layer. Much like the midnight zone of the ocean, barely any light reached this layer. This was the side that held unchecked anger, trauma, and pain. Midoriya could go from quiet to almost roaring in an instant. Midoriya was hardly ever let out as Deku was pretty good at remaining dominant. He was good about not letting Midoriya out…Midoriya was a last resort. Midoriya handled instinctual reactions, the amount of profanity and cruelness could( and has) made villains cry.

There were very few times Midoriya had ever come out fully. Most times situations were de-escalated just quick enough for him to back down and relax. The first time it happened was on Katsuki actually. This was before Izuku had truly accepted Katsuki’s apology on the battlefield. Katsuki still had tendencies that he would fall back on, and Deku tried to reason with himself that ‘Kaachan was still working on himself, it takes time to be better’.

But with a headache and still running on low amounts of sleep, Deku and Izuku couldn’t keep Midoriya back. And when Midoriya comes out, the class learns that he was a beast!

Ever since that day, Deku did his best to keep Midoriya calm and to not let it happen again as…well he’s pretty sure he retraumatized the class.

Then he got a phone call while at work.

He was filling out paperwork in his office when his phone rang. Seeing that it was from the school he quickly answered.

“Hello” “Hi is this Mr Midoriya” “Yes, this is him, speaking.” “Good, are you available to come down here, we need to have a little chat with you about your child (y/n).” This confused Deku, why would that be? The school’s never called before.

“Um sure, may I ask what for?” “Well, your child has gotten themselves into quite the trouble and is refusing to accept accountability and is likely facing suspension.” Suspension! Okay, that was serious. Izuku quickly rose from his desk and tried to slip on a hoodie over his hero costume. Just like that Izuku was out, and now wondering what his child possibly could have done to deserve suspension! (Y/n) never got into much trouble unless it was something small, and it usually only required an explanation or stern talking to! Due to this, it didn’t sit right in his stomach that his kid would be punished so harshly.

Hurrying down the stairs he quickly tells the others who are in the common room of the facility that he is heading out. Seeing his urgency Katsuki got up.

“The hell are you going?” “To (Y/N)’s school, the school called saying they may be facing suspension.” Even Katsuki had to pause for a moment, he babysat the child pretty frequently, and that little one was an angel!

“Well, call us and tell us what’s up will ya!” “Yup, I will!” Speeding out the door, Deku made it to his car and almost sped down the road with thoughts running through his mind.

When he arrived he did his best to calm himself as he walked inside. Going into the front office the woman at the desk wasn’t too surprised to see him though she seemed a little worried. He saw that concerned glint on her face as he signed in.

“Where is my child-” “Ah Mr Deku there you are!” The principal greeted him, and Izuku turned to her and bowed respectfully.

“Come on back, we need to have a talk,” She said, Izuku nodded but once again asked where his child was and if he could see them.

“You’ll see them soon, once they compose themselves, now come on.” She insisted, Izuku couldn’t shake that sinking feeling but went along with it. Walking into her office, he took a seat in front of her desk and asked what happened.

“Well, I definitely expected better from the number 1 pro hero's child. I truly did, but what they did was despicable.” “What happened?” “Your child beat up another child on the playground during recess earlier, all over some notebook.” Izuku’s face turned serious, his child started a fight? He himself couldn’t fathom it and over a notebook? Izuku asked for more detail on the matter and what the principal said made him question things.

“Yes a notebook, according to the other child, all they did was want to see what they were doing and. (Y/n) snapped, pushed them off of one of the play structures rather harshly, and shoved them to the ground.” That didn’t sound like his precious angel at all! Sure he’d taught them what to do if anyone ever put their hands on them but, even during those lessons the child always seemed to be afraid to hurt anyone. The child was just as harmless as Deku!

‘Something doesn’t feel right about this….this is rather vague. I want to see (Y/n)’

Izuku grew frustrated racking his brain as to why this would even happen.

“Mr Deku, I’m sure you can see why i think suspension, may be best here.” He twisted his thumbs around as he argued with his own thoughts.

‘We need to see (y/n) something is very wrong about this. You know they aren’t like that!’ ‘Maybe if we tell her that, then the punishment will be lessened?’ ‘Are you fucking kidding! Why should our child be punished at all!? We haven’t even spoken to them yet, i want to know if they’re alright!'

Midoriya wasn’t happy, he never liked authority figures, and he couldn’t stand them.

“I-I’m sure (Y/n) wouldn’t do such a thing, really! I can’t imagine them doing something like that!” Deku tried to protest meekly, Midoriya was getting annoyed with his conscious. He hated overthinking and trying to seem sweet like this. Though maybe he should let Deku or Izuku handle this, maybe this was all a misunderstanding

“I-if you’d like I can talk to them, I’m sure they’re very sorry!” “From what I gathered that child has no remorse for what they’ve done and think crying about it will gain them some sort of sympathy. Giving them attention will only enable such behaviors.”

‘(Y/n)’s crying?’ ‘fuck it! I’m handling this myself, I’m not having a repeat of our past happen to them!’

The look on the pro hero’s face darkened, and with a sigh and a small glare he spoke up.

“Where is my child?” “Mr Deku you will see them once we’re done-” “No. You are going to tell me where my child is, now.” He demanded, the principal rolled her eyes and told him that (Y/n) was in the nurse's office. Getting out of his seat as soon as the information was given, he left the office and looked around for the infirmary. Knocking on the door before entering he hears a soft “come in” and almost freezes in his tracks at what he sees.

There his child was, sitting on the floor in the corner of the room. Tears ran down their face, and their school uniform was covered in dirt and blood. There was more blood some dripping from their mouth, nose, and head. Hands clutching their hair tightly in a panicked state as they were hyperventilating and the color in their face drained pale/ashened. He’d never seen their child beat up before but it brought up so many memories. Midoriya called out for their child who looked up like a deer in headlights and tried to scoot further into the corner…

‘Th-they’re afraid of me….’ That broke something him in, the feeling was almost indescribable. To see that his own child feared him and he hadn’t even done anything….they must think that he is mad at them…

Midoriya got down on his knees in front of the child and spoke as calmly as he could.

“(Y/n) I’m not angry at you, just please come here.” He opened his arms, an invite into a gentle embrace he so desperately wanted to keep them in. The child still shakily refused and cried out weakly.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t wanna hurt them!” Midoriya knew that his child wouldn’t come to him. So he crawled over to them and pulled them into his chest. Arms wrapped around their smaller body lightly caressing their head and back supporting them. Shushing them and encouraging them out of their panic.

“Shhhh shhhh, Daddy’s not angry with you little hero, I promise. Daddy just wants to help you, I’m right here. No one will hurt you.” He could feel their hands shift to grab onto the plush material of his jumper. Midoriya began to rock his body in a soft back-and-forth manner to try and soothe them, this always worked after nightmares.

“I’m not mad at you, I just want to help you, little hero.” After another minute of deep breaths and gentle rocking, the child seemed to calm down quite a bit. Midoriya grabbed the first aid kit he always had in his utility belt and got to work.

“I’m gonna fix you up, I want you to tell me what happened, okay?” “Y-yes sir” With that deal made Izuku slowly began to patch them up as they explained.

“I-I tried to h-handle it like you and Uncle Kaachan told me. Don’t st-start f-fights but always f-finish them. And th-that kid hasn’t left me alone for a wh-while. He’s always grabbing my notebook and scribbling in them, or hiding it from me. I tr-tried telling a teacher about it…” “And what did the teacher do?” “She said ‘You’re a big kid, handle it yourself’…” That made Midoriya’s blood boil! What the hell was the child supposed to do?! They were handling it by telling the adults!

“So what happened today?” “I-I was on the jungle gym drawing and writing and he came up and grabbed my notebook. I tried to get it back but he shoved me into the big toy so I got back up-like Uncle Kaachan taught me- and i kept trying. He started ripping out pages and when I tried again he grabbed me by the hair and slammed my face in something…it really hurt. He didn’t stop.”

Taking in everything Y/n had told him Midoriya felt like he was gonna explode! His rage with this situation was overwhelming, he could hardly keep himself from going off in front of his child. He didn’t want to, he never wanted them to see him like this but. He couldn’t help it. He would not allow his child to be punished like he was! Oh no!

A low growl rumbled in his chest as he thought of what he was going to do.

“D-daddy” He snapped out of his thoughts and it almost seemed like Deku was in control again. He could still hear the fear in his child’s quivering voice. He smiled widely and answered.

“Yes lil hero?” “a-am i in tr-trouble?” “No my sweet little angel of course not. I’m going to…have a chat with your principal again and afterwards, we’ll go out to your favorite ramen shop. How does that sound?” Their eyes lit up at the mention of going out to the ramen shop! Nodding with glee, Midoriya giggles a little boops them on the nose, and scoops them up into his arms once again this time standing up.

“Now all I want for you to do is remember. Daddy is not mad at you, he is mad at the people who hurt you. So if i seem angry or get really really loud, it's not because of you.” His voice was almost sickeningly sweet and he promised to handle the situation. The child nods and leans into their chest as he makes his way out of the office. He walked back into the principal’s office with a newfound motivation and rage burning in his eyes.

“Sorry for the wait principal.” “It's quite alright Mr. Deku, oh I see you brought them in” “Yes, I did” “Good, so are you ready to apologiz-” “Let me stop you right there, if you think my child is going to be apologizing to anyone here you are very mistaken.” Oh and why is that?” Midoriya shifted his weight onto one hip as he held the child. The pitch in his voice dropped to a deep dark menacing tone.

“Because being a victim of not only peer-on-peer abuse but a teacher allowing this thing to happen after my child brought it to her attention numerous times is inexcusable and disgusting of you to demand!” “Abuse? What abuse? What happened was not abuse” “Abuse is treating (a person or an animal) with cruelty or violence, especially regularly or repeatedly. Do not fucking argue with me what abuse means, believe me, I know it all too damn well. And if you think that for one fucking second I will allow my child to be subjected to it or to be victim blamed. You are just as much of a villain as those i handle on the streets. I’m simply enraged that you think it is appropriate to not only allow a staff member- a teacher no less!- to let this go unchecked but to isolate my child, who i found bleeding and shaking on the floor! I. will. Not fucking allow it!” Midoriya’s voice roared, the hold on his child was tight, not enough to hurt. Not only that but one for all began to flash and the room began to dim only thing illuminating his face was energy from his quirk.

Snarling, and glaring down daggers at the woman who was now shifting nervously in her chair. He made sure that he was close enough to make it seem as if he was towering over her even from the other side of the desk. He wanted her to feel just as scared as his child had felt. He wanted her to feel trapped! This was Midoriya!

“You either fix your fucking policy or I handle you and your school in court!” He growled banging his fist on the desk.

He gave her only a second before heading towards the door, though as he grabbed the nob he turned around.

“I better get an email by the end of the day stating 1: My child will not be punished for this 2: what punishment the bully will be receiving as well as that teacher and 3 an apology for this stupid fucking so-called-meeting you brought me into. My child will also be receiving an apology from you, the teacher, and the bully. Do I make myself clear, principal?” The principal curtly nodded as they now were backed into their own corner. Midoriya smirked and finished off with.

“And it Mr. Midoriya to you”

Leaving the office he heads out to the car carrying the small child in his arms. Driving off the lot he asked.

“How are you doing little hero?” He looked at them through his rearview mirror and sighed.

“M’okay now” “Drumming his fingers on the steering wheel the fact he’d gotten to angry in front of them still ate at him. He hated to be like that in front of children, especially his own. This time it was Midoriya who apologized.

“Hey, little hero….I’m sorry you had to see all of that. You know Daddy doesn’t like you seeing me like this.” “i-its okay Daddy. We all get mad sometimes” Consoled the child, who gave their own little smile.

“Plus you were really cool back there!” “you think so?” “yeah!” “Well, I’m glad you think I’m cool, kiddo” That was a relief!

“Now let's go to the ramen shop!” “yeah!”

Oh that phone call with Kaachan was going to be interesting, to say the least!

Ch 59: Tetsuzanko

Little Shen negotiating his demands with his teacher is just so wholesome and pure. Here's this kid who is wearing rags and robbing adults for money all while telling his sister that he's the strongest in the world, and he enters a tournament and gets beat, thus proving he's not the strongest, but it doesn't affect his self-confidence at all.

He's still so confident that he proposes conditions for allowing someone to teach him, and it's not that he's being egotistical or delusional, because he admits he got beat at the tournament.

His leverage in this negotiation is offering the opportunity to train the boy who will become the world's strongest. That's how sure he is that he'll achieve his dream!

Shen: "Do it for the exposure! It'll look great in your portfolio!"

It's still not clear what kind of person Shen's teacher is at this point. We know he's interested in strong students and that he's smiling at Shen, but he seems eager to push Shen to his limits.

FENG?! That Feng?! It all makes sense now!

Feng is waiting on his student to surpass him and needs him to get as strong as possible so that he can have a fitting opponent someday. You know, like a certain other "Best in the World" from another series:

Each of them promises to wait as long as it takes for their student to reach their level, too! Feng has an even more Mihawk-ish quote later in the story, one that almost matches word for word.

But unlike my beloved Mihawk, Feng specifically promised not to age, which is a bit of an odd thing to say unless it's related to his negation ability.

Back to the battle, Shen immediately uses Untruth as he and Feng charge at each other with the sun shining over both of them as in the panels from the previous chapter.

Oho.

Feng is surprised, but Untruth doesn't seem to throw him off his game too badly. Narration boxes explain how Shen's ability isn't foolproof. He has to keep in mind everything he knows about his opponent's skills, tendencies, mood, and the chances of his ability backfiring--all in real time during a fight. He basically has to think for two people during a battle.

That last panel is so pretty!

Shen realizes that this guy is going to be more trouble than he'd thought! He begins to put the puzzle together:

Andy and Fuuko hadn't had a chance to tell Shen about Life Is Strange and its anti-aging abilities because the battle started almost as soon as they arrived.

Feng's style name is written on his outfit. It has the Under symbol and then 八极 "baji" in simplified Mandarin.

Baji is short for Bajiquan, a Chinese martial arts style. Feng has his own variant style of baji, but we haven't yet learned its name. When Feng uses the Zhen Jiao step-in, Shen recognizes it as one of the fundamental moves of baji and it adds to his suspicions that this mystery opponent has the same fighting style as his old master.

It's a quick, explosive, close-quarters kind of combat that's honestly terrifying:

After escaping with the step-in, Feng soars high above and shields himself with one of the jiangshi. Shen remarks that using a "human" shield to block attacks is something his old master would do--we're slowly learning more and more that Feng might not have been a very caring teacher...

Feng, wearing a hooded robe the entire time and concealing his identity from almost everyone in the series: "Heh, I suppose it's no wonder you don't know who I am!" Yeah, no shit. That's how disguises work!

Shen proves once again that he has no sentimental reservations about punching the zombified corpse of his former rival, but Feng spins away from the punch and lines up for his next wicked sick move.

Bajiquan's most famous move is the tetsuzanko 鉄山靠, "iron mountain lean," a kind of shoulder check/throw/battering ram. Feng's version is called hakkaizanko 捌廻山靠 "eight cycle mountain strike/lean."

It's a well-known baji move with Feng's own spin on it. He hits Shen so hard that he has a flashback!

"Aren't schools supposed to be free of dummies" is hilarious, but in just a few pages, Shen says that he can't go to school because he's a dummy. Poor kid! He doesn't even think he belongs in school! He has a lot of confidence in his strength, but not in his smarts. It's especially sad because we know that Shen's actually not dumb at all! T.T

Was Feng really joking though? He's so hard to read!

The siblings go outside to train under the full moon. Mei learns the tetsuzanko and appears to master it in a short time-- but the sfx covers up her joyful moment in the last panel, and it continues across each panel of the flashback as Feng's true nature is revealed.

"Rather than having three disciples, what if I just have one extremely traumatized disciple?"

Feng was never interested in training Shen for Shen's sake. He wasn't trying to get all the glory for himself, either. I mean, he could've won that tournament hands-down if he wanted to, but he didn't even try (and we see here that he could easily beat the current champion). All that Feng wanted was to train someone who could get strong enough to give him a good fight, and he was willing to hurt that person as much as he could in order to make them into a meaner, stronger version of themselves.

The story cuts back to the present and we FINALLY see Feng's face! Noooooo, he's handsome! How can I hate him now?!?!

I don't think we've ever seen Shen look like this before. He has the same wild look in his eyes as he did when Feng first recruited him! Now Feng is hoping to use that wild side of Shen to create his ideal opponent. Is Shen just taking the bait?

The twins!! Frankie and Florence!!

Florence is the “older” twin (I say that loosely cus they were born at the same time. Florence just grows faster than Frankie, she’s quite literally the bigger sister lol). She very much still takes on the older sister role with Frankie tho, love-hate and all. Sword fighting is her love and life, and she’d probably strangle Frankie with her hair if he tried to dabble in it (thankfully he’s not a sports guy). She doesn’t like to share (with Frankie) and has a tendency to view people as less than her unless they can prove otherwise. If you are someone she cares about she is fiercely loyal and won’t let you say no to her help. She puts her 100% into everything she does and will not settle for less (even if it hurts her in some way). She has a hard time understanding people and how they feel, so she comes off as mean or cold (even if that isn’t her intention). She tries very hard to be strong, she refuses to show weakness, and she thinks low of herself if she can’t live up to her own expectations.

Frankie is the “younger” twin. He does take on more of the younger sibling role between the two in that he tends to get what whatever he wants from everyone and gets kinda butt hurt when things don’t go his way. With that said, he does not go through life thinking he’s the king of the world entitled to everything. He’s very good with people (which is why they like him) and he’s got a calming air about him. He’s a very mellow fellow, or at least that’s usually how he comes across. If you really know him you’ll catch on to the fact that he’s got some strong OCD that makes him literally lose his mind if he’s left to his own devices (which is why he tries to surround himself with good people and a more predictable day-to-day life). He’s very understanding of people’s needs and is very good at recognizing the intricacies of people and their lives. He tries very hard to be independent, he won’t take handouts from people, and he has a hard time asking for help (so much so that he could literally be on the verge of death and he won’t even make a peep about it to anyone).

They both love their dad and want to prove themselves to him (they also want to prove that they are capable and independent adults that don’t need their daddy’s assistance 24/7), so they moved out of his home in order to pursue their dreams and make something of themselves. They try to out-do each other all the time, they still haven’t caught onto the fact their bickering reminds their dad of when they were kids (and that they don’t need to prove their worth to him).
